A quote from Shakespeare comes to mind. “Life is but a stage. We are but actors strutting upon it.” As I look back over the years I find that this is so very true. Seems we carefully craft our gestures and words in every encounter to present the image that we want others to perceive. Every performance feeding the schemas that were created and nourished as an infant. It makes one wonder… is insanity a disease of the mind or the frustration of an actor.

I see what you are saying, at least i think i do. Let me translate my interpretation of your statement in terms a 14 year old such as myself could understand. people truely are like actors because they work hard to present an image for themselves and they act as that image around others. did i get it right? probably not. but it was worth a try.
